As Miss Howard TV, I represented Sirius XM for the month of March in 2012 where I was interviewed by Jamie Harmeyer, filmed a clip for the Howard Stern Show and had a photo shoot in the Howard Stern Studio. Everyone at Sirius was very professional and great to work with.
I had an amazing time competing in the 2013 Mrs. New Jersey United States pageant at Atlantic Cape Community College in Mays Landing, New Jersey. This was my very first pageant as I only entered to help shine light upon the devastated areas that still remain after Hurricane Sandy.
2013 Sisterhood Spirit Award – (This award is presented to the individual that represents the best example of a true sisterhood.) I am very honored to receive the 2013 Sisterhood Spirit Award. This pageant was both very educational and awarding. Having the opportunity to speak on behalf of my hometown and of all the affected areas from Sandy meant a lot not just to myself and my family but to our communities. Hurricane Sandy may be in the past but it is not forgotten. We need to focus on the future and be more prepared for the next one. As long as we are living along the shore we are in the path of mother nature’s next wrath of fire.
If you wish to get involved, please reach out to the Robin Hood Foundation, Restoring The Shore, Hope For Highlands. (to name a few). There are many organizations that are trying to help get our communities back on their feet. We need to stick together and help restore our shore and bring life back to the Garden State.
In conclusion I just want to say that within these last few months, I have met so many amazing people from entering this pageant and would like to thank my family, friends, sponsors and my pageant directors for their support.
Congratulations to the class of 2013, everyone looked amazing and did an outstanding job representing a platform that was dear to their hearts. A special congratulations goes out to my roommate, karaoke partner and pageant sister Joy Jones Carmack – Mrs. New Jersey U.S. 2013. She is an amazing person and I wish her nothing but the best at nationals.

Attention ALL Make-up Artists!!! Donate your time and services to help beautify these ladies for their special evening!!!
Being that I will not be available this coming Friday and Saturday due to pageant weekend, Henry Hudson Regional’s prom is taking place this Friday, May 10, 2013.
As we all can recall, prom is a very special time in a young-adult’s life. At this time in a young person’s life, they are looking forward to this very special night. Despite what Hurricane Sandy did to our town amongst many others, let’s help make Henry Hudson Regional’s Prom truly a night to remember.
If any of my make-up artist friends are available or know anyone that is available this Friday and willing to donate their time and services, please provide your name and contact information below:
If you choose to do your own make-up for prom I have provided a few beauty tips.
* Pick your eyes or your lips. The biggest mistake people make when putting on make-up is that they highlight both the eye and the mouth. You need to pick one or the other.
* Skin Tone; Pick the perfect skin tone. You want your make-up to look natural as if you do not have any make-up on. Make sure to choose a foundation that matches your skin and blends in well along the jawline.
On Sunday April 28th after celebrating the ground breaking of one of the Sandy Playgrounds, one of which is currently being built in my hometown (Highlands, New Jersey) to celebrate the life of one of the students that lost their life in the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, Daniel Barden. I decided to purchase a bracelet in honor of Daniel Barden and to keep his spirit alive as per his parents doing what Daniel did with his free spirit and love for everyone. His parents sent me a card with a beautiful message and I wanted to share with everyone.
When I purchased a bracelet I wrote the family a message about our playground in Highlands named after their son along with my condolences and wanted to wear this bracelet in honor of his life. Thank you Jackie, Mark, James and Natalie for the beautiful card and message! May God’s little angel rest in peace ♥
My heart goes out to the victims and families that were affected by this horrific tragedy.
Sandy Hook officially opened today but it still has a long way to go. The beaches are available to fishermen, daytime strolls, but it will not be open to swimmers for weeks.
There are still areas that are inaccessible. Beach facilities are still boarded up at the Sea Gull’s Nest restaurant in Area D and buildings at Beach B. The North Beach and the clothing-optional Gunnison Beach will be back by Memorial Day weekend. Facilities at beaches C, D and E won’t open until July 2013.
Sandy Hook Beach Concerts – The Wednesday night beach concerts will return June 12th to Area E, where a new stage has been erected. Beach parking will be free until Memorial Day weekend, when it jumps to $15 per day. The beaches will be served by portable rest rooms and temporary facilities.
Here is a complete list of the Jersey Shore beaches and board walks that will be open for the 2013 summer season.
Be sure to support your local beaches and businesses for the summer season!!!
