Working out is great, but what I eat is going to make for the best results during this baby bounce back program. Last night I met with Kim, my nutritionist, and we came up with a diet plan that allows me to prepare meals that are not time consuming and are very nutritious. The goal was to develop a plan that I can maintain as a life style, not just for the few months of this program, since all the challenges of being a new mother will still be here three months from now. What I have learned is that my crock pot and I are going to become close friends as I will be choosing delicious combinations of foods, measuring out right size portions, setting the heat level to be ready for me with very little effort. I also have some quick snacks for on the go or throughout the day, and some great breakfast choices. Kim made it clear too that I shouldn’t be skipping meals as my body needs the nutrition to burn the calories I need to get back to my pre-pregnancy body. Started on my new plan today and I will be checking back with Kim next week as I keep a daily log and we will determine if I need to make any adjustments based on my results.
